These Terms apply when a consumer purchases goods from us through our website.
2. Our products
We take reasonable care to ensure that product descriptions, photographs, specifications and other product information are accurate.
Colours, scale and appearance may vary slightly because of screen settings, photography, lighting or manufacturing tolerances.
Packaging may vary.
Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights where goods are faulty, unsafe, damaged, not as described or otherwise fail to conform to the contract.
3. Availability
All products and orders are subject to availability.
We may refuse or cancel an order where:
- a product is unavailable;
- there is an obvious pricing or product-information error;
- payment cannot be authorised;
- we reasonably suspect fraud or unlawful activity; or
- we cannot lawfully fulfil the order.
If payment has already been taken for an order that we cancel, the relevant amount will be refunded.
4. Prices
Prices are displayed in pounds sterling (GBP).
LETOILE LTD is not currently registered for VAT. We therefore do not issue VAT invoices.
Any mandatory charges applicable to the order will be shown before you place the order.
We will not introduce unavoidable charges only after you have committed to the transaction.
Optional products or services will not be added without your consent.
5. Orders and contract formation
Submitting an order is an offer by you to purchase the goods.
An automated acknowledgement that we have received your order does not by itself mean that we have accepted it.
The contract is formed when we send you an order acceptance or dispatch confirmation expressly confirming that we have accepted your order.
If we cannot accept an order after payment has been authorised or taken, the relevant payment will be cancelled or refunded.
6. Payment
Available payment methods are shown during checkout.
You must use valid and authorised payment information.
Payments may be processed by third-party payment providers.
Where a payment provider processes complete card credentials, we do not store those complete credentials.
7. Delivery area
We currently supply consumer orders to:
England Scotland Wales
We do not currently offer consumer delivery to Northern Ireland or destinations outside this territory unless expressly stated otherwise.
8. Delivery
Delivery options, charges and estimated delivery periods will be displayed before you place the order where applicable.
Delivery estimates are estimates unless we expressly agree a guaranteed date.
Unless another period has been agreed with you, goods will be delivered without undue delay and within the period required by applicable consumer law.
Please provide a complete and accurate delivery address.
If you discover an error, contact us as soon as possible.
9. Fulfilment and delivery partners
We may use warehouses, fulfilment providers and delivery carriers acting on our behalf.
Your contract of sale remains with LETOILE LTD.
Our use of fulfilment or delivery partners does not remove our obligations to you under applicable consumer law.
10. Late or missing deliveries
If an order is materially delayed or appears to be lost, please contact us.
We will investigate the matter with the relevant fulfilment or delivery providers and provide the appropriate resolution.
You are not required to resolve our contractual obligations directly with a third-party warehouse or carrier.
11. Right to cancel an online purchase
For most eligible goods purchased online, you normally have the right to cancel without giving a reason.
The cancellation period generally expires 14 days after the day on which you, or a person nominated by you other than the carrier, receives the goods.
Where applicable, special timing rules may apply to orders containing multiple goods delivered separately.
You must communicate a clear decision to cancel before the applicable cancellation period expires.

You may use our model cancellation form, but you do not have to.
Legal exceptions to the right to cancel may apply to certain categories of goods. Where an exception is relevant to a product we sell, we will provide the required information.
12. Returning goods after cancellation
Where a physical return is required following a change-of-mind cancellation, you must normally send the goods back within 14 days after telling us that you wish to cancel.
Please contact us before sending anything so we can provide the correct return instructions.
Do not send products to our registered office unless we expressly instruct you to do so.
For a change-of-mind cancellation, where a physical return is required, you are responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods unless we tell you that we will bear that cost.
This return-cost information forms part of our pre-contract information.
In some cases we may decide that a physical return is unnecessary.
13. Refunds following cancellation
Where the statutory cancellation right applies, refunds will be made within the period required by law.
Where goods are physically returned, we may lawfully wait until we receive the goods back or receive appropriate evidence that they have been sent back, where applicable.
If we expressly tell you that no physical return is required, we will not delay the agreed refund while waiting for the goods to be returned.
Where required by law, the refund includes the basic cost of the least expensive standard delivery method we offered.
Any additional amount paid for a more expensive delivery method does not normally have to be refunded.
Refunds will normally be made using the original payment method unless another lawful arrangement is agreed.
14. Handling of cancelled goods
You may inspect goods to the extent that you reasonably could in a physical shop.
Where permitted by law, we may make an appropriate deduction from a cancellation refund if handling beyond what is reasonably necessary has reduced the value of the goods.
15. Faulty, unsafe, damaged or misdescribed goods
Goods supplied by us must meet applicable consumer-law standards, including being:
- of satisfactory quality;
- fit for purpose where applicable;
- as described; and
- safe.
If goods fail to conform to the contract, statutory remedies may apply.
In many cases, consumers have a short-term right to reject non-conforming goods during the first 30 days.
After the short-term right to reject has expired, you may have rights to repair or replacement and, where the legal conditions are met, a price reduction or final right to reject.
These rights are separate from the 14-day change-of-mind cancellation regime.
Where goods are lawfully rejected because they are faulty or otherwise non-conforming, we will bear reasonable return costs where required by law.
16. Evidence concerning product problems
If you report damage, a defect, an incorrect product, a product-safety concern or another factual problem with the goods, we may request reasonable information to understand and resolve the issue.
This may include:
- photographs;
- video;
- packaging information;
- product identifiers;
- a description of the problem; or
- other relevant evidence.
Any evidence request must be reasonable and will not be used to remove statutory consumer rights.
17. Returnless refunds
In some circumstances we may decide that a product does not need to be physically returned before a refund or replacement is provided.
A decision to provide a returnless refund is made for the individual case.
It does not create a general contractual entitlement to retain goods while receiving a refund.
18. Fraud and misuse
We may take reasonable and proportionate measures to identify fraud, dishonest claims and misuse.
This may include reviewing relevant previous order, claim, refund, delivery, account, payment and technical risk information.
Automated tools may flag activity for review.
At launch, material decisions concerning discretionary refund concessions or additional verification are subject to human review.
Fraud-prevention procedures do not remove statutory consumer rights.
19. Product safety
If you believe a product presents a safety risk, stop using it where appropriate and contact us promptly.
We may investigate the product, request relevant evidence, identify affected products or orders, communicate safety instructions, cooperate with regulators, suspend sales, arrange corrective action or carry out a recall where appropriate.
20. Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.
Nothing excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Nothing in these Terms restricts statutory consumer rights.
21. Changes
We may update these Terms where our operations, services or applicable laws change.
The contractual terms applicable to an order will normally be the version presented when that order was placed.
22. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to mandatory consumer protections.
Consumers resident in Scotland retain any rights they have under applicable law to bring proceedings in the Scottish courts.
